CoreWard — Delete Your Data

CoreWard — Eliminar tus datos

CoreWard has no account. There is nothing to sign up for, no username, and no password — which means there is also no single button that erases everything, because the data does not sit in one place. It sits in three, each belonging to someone different, and each is cleared its own way. This page covers all three, and you can do two of them yourself right now without writing to us.

1 · On your device

Your descent progress, Cores, artifacts, drones, upgrades, boosts and settings are stored on the phone itself and nowhere else by default.

Uninstalling CoreWard removes all of it. There is no step after that, and nothing survives locally.

If you want to start over without uninstalling, Settings → Reset progress erases the same data from inside the game. It asks twice, and if you are signed in to Play Games it also clears the cloud copy — otherwise the next sign-in would hand back exactly what you just erased.

2 · Your Google Play Games profile

If you signed in to Google Play Games, three things live in your Google account rather than on your device: a saved copy of your progress, your best depths on the two leaderboards, and your achievements. These belong to your Play Games profile, so they are deleted through Google rather than through us — and you do not need to ask anyone's permission:

  1. Open the Play Games app.
  2. Go to Settings → Delete Play Games account data.
  3. Choose Delete individual game data, then pick CoreWard.

That removes the cloud save, the scores and the achievements for this game and leaves your other games untouched. Deleting your whole Play Games account data is also offered on that screen, and it takes every game with it — including this one.

The cloud save and the copy on your phone are separate. Deleting one does not delete the other. To be rid of both, do this and uninstall the game.

3 · Crash reports and statistics

This is the only part we hold, and the only part that needs an email. It is two things: crash reports, sent whenever the game fails, and anonymous gameplay statistics, sent only if you agreed to them when the game asked.

Write to voltix.studios.gaming@gmail.com with the subject CoreWard data deletion request, and we will delete the records associated with your installation.

These records carry no name, no email address and no account, because none was ever collected — which is good for your privacy and awkward for this request, since there is no name for us to search on. So please tell us one of the following, or we will not be able to find the right records:

  • Send the message from a device that still has CoreWard installed, or
  • tell us roughly when you played — the dates or the week are enough — and the phone model you played on.

We will confirm by reply when it is done. If we cannot identify the records from what you send, we will say so rather than delete someone else's.

What is not deleted, and why

  • Purchase records. If you bought Cores, the starter kit or an ad-removal option, Google Play holds the transaction — we never see your payment details and cannot delete Google's record of a sale. Tax and consumer-protection law requires it to be kept. Your entitlements (an ad-removal you own, for instance) are restored from Google Play if you reinstall, which is a feature rather than a leftover; nothing we hold is what restores them.
  • Data Google holds for showing you ads. Advertising happens between your device and Google. We never receive your advertising ID and build no profile from it. Reset or delete that identifier in your Google Ad settings.
  • Aggregate counts. Statistics that have already been rolled up — "how many players cleared tier 6 in August" — no longer contain anything that could be traced to a device, and there is nothing individual left in them to remove.

Retention

Crash reports and gameplay statistics are held by Firebase on our behalf and expire on Google's own schedule whether or not you ask — crash data after 90 days, analytics events after 14 months. An emailed request is completed within 30 days, and usually the same week. We keep no separate backup of our own to restore from.
