Este Sitio Web — Privacidad
The other documents here describe what the games do. This one is about the website itself, and it is much shorter: the site counts visits so we know whether anyone is reading it, and it keeps nothing about you. No cookies, and no way to follow you anywhere. The one page that writes to your device is the one where Loom is played, and what it writes is your game, kept in your own browser.
What is measured
The site uses Umami, a privacy-focused analytics tool, to count how many people visit, which pages they read, and which links they use. Each visit records the page address, the site you arrived from, a country, and your browser, operating system and screen size.
A short list of clicks is also recorded, so we can tell which parts of the page are doing anything: the Google Play button, the social links, the email addresses, the English/Spanish switch, and how far down the landing page a visit reached. What is recorded is that a link was clicked, never who clicked it.
On the page where Loom is played, /loom/play/, four moments in the game
are counted the same way: a cloth started, a cloth solved, a cloth not solved, and a
result copied. Each carries plain numbers only — the day's number, the attempts, the
seconds it took and the streak. Nothing else about your game is sent anywhere, and
nothing at all goes to Google or to any other analytics company.
What is stored on your device
No cookies, on any page. Every page but one writes nothing to your browser: nothing in local storage, nothing in session storage, and nothing read back on a later visit. There is no banner on this site asking you to accept cookies because there are none to accept.
The exception is the Loom page, /loom/play/. If you play there, the game
keeps its own save in your browser's local storage, so that a reload does not lose your
day: today's attempts, your streak and record, the cloths you have woven, your settings
(sound, motion, colour-blind marks), and a short log of the last few hours of play that
only the page itself can show. It is written only once you play, it never leaves your
browser, and clearing this site's data in your browser deletes all of it.
How visits are counted
Without a cookie there has to be some other way to tell two visits apart. Umami derives a temporary identifier from your IP address and browser details, combined with a secret that is replaced every day. Your IP address itself is not stored.
Because that secret changes daily, the same person visiting on two different days counts as two different visitors, and nothing links the two. There is no way to follow anyone from one day to the next, or from this site to any other.
No third-party script
The analytics code is served from this domain, at
voltixstudios.pages.dev/analytics/. Your browser sends no request to an
analytics company; this site makes that request on your behalf and passes on nothing
beyond what is described above. The only other outside request any page here makes is
to Google Fonts, for the two typefaces the site is set in.
What this site does not do
Stated plainly, because the absence is easy to miss:
- No account, no sign-in, and no form anywhere on the site.
- No cookies, and nothing written to your device beyond the Loom page's own save.
- No advertising, no ad network, and no tracking pixel.
- No profile is built, and nothing follows you to other websites.
- No location beyond the country inferred from your network.
- No email address, phone number or contact detail is collected — writing to us is your own mail app, sending your own message.
- Nothing is sold, and nothing is shared with data brokers.
The games are separate
This page covers the website only. What each game handles on your phone is a different question with its own answer: Paper Squadron, Loom (the Android app; the page above is covered here), CoreWard and Dungeon Gourmand.
Changes
If this page changes, the updated version will be published at this URL with a new effective date.
This document is published in English and Spanish. If the two versions ever disagree, the English text is the one that governs.
Looking for what a game keeps, rather than the site?
voltixstudios.pages.dev/analytics/. Tu navegador no envía ninguna
