Dungeon Gourmand — Terms & Virtual Currency
Dungeon Gourmand — Términos y moneda virtual
Dungeon Gourmand is free to play and free to finish. It also sells Dragon Scales, its premium currency, along with extra expedition slots, a starter pack, colours for your dragon, a one-time purchase that removes the interstitial ad, and a monthly subscription. This page sets out what you are buying when you buy any of that — in particular that Scales are a virtual item, not money, and cannot be turned back into money.
Dungeon Gourmand is still in development and is not yet on Google Play. These terms describe the game as it will ship, and take effect with the first build released to testers. Prices, packs and perks may change before then; what cannot change is the section on what money never buys.
Your licence to play
Downloading Dungeon Gourmand gives you a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable licence to play it on devices you control, for as long as it is available. The game, its artwork, its writing, its music and its name remain the property of Voltix Studios. You may record and stream your own play — including monetised video — and you may not resell the game, redistribute its files, or modify it to alter what a purchase or an ad grants.
Gold, Scales and Map Fragments
Dragon Scales are a virtual item, not money. They have no value outside the game, cannot be exchanged for cash, and cannot be transferred to another player or to another account.
The game has three currencies, and only one of them is ever sold:
- Gold is earned by playing — cleared dungeons, sold ingredients, the market. It is never sold for money.
- Map Fragments are found on expeditions and spent on leads. They are never sold for money.
- Dragon Scales are the premium currency. They are earned in play — from achievements, from the daily hooks, and as a subscriber's daily drip — and they can also be bought in packs.
Buying a pack of Scales buys a limited licence to use a feature of the game, not an asset you own. Unspent Scales are not property, cannot be redeemed for money, and are lost with the save that holds them. If your account is closed by Google, or the game is withdrawn, unspent balances cannot be refunded or exchanged. Nothing in this paragraph limits a statutory right you have as a consumer.
What is on sale
The catalogue at launch is expected to be:
- Dragon Scales — five pack sizes.
- A second and a third expedition slot — one-time purchases, kept permanently.
- The Hatchling Pack — a one-time starter pack of Scales, Gold and a colour, offered a couple of days in and never on first launch.
- A pack of colour morphs for your dragon — cosmetic only.
- Remove interstitials — a one-time purchase.
- The Innkeeper — a monthly subscription, described below.
Every price you are shown comes from Google Play, in your own currency, including any tax that applies where you live. No price appears in this document, because the one in the store is the one that governs.
The Innkeeper subscription
The Innkeeper is a monthly, auto-renewing subscription sold through Google Play. While it is active it grants an extra expedition slot, a daily drip of Dragon Scales, extra larder space, automatic collection of finished expeditions, and no interstitial ad.
It renews each month at the price shown in the store until you cancel, and you cancel it from Google Play → Subscriptions — not from inside the game, which cannot cancel it for you. Cancelling stops the next renewal; the subscription keeps running until the period you have paid for ends. Any free trial converts to a paid period unless you cancel before it ends.
When a subscription lapses, its perks stop. Nothing you already earned while subscribed is taken back: Scales already dripped stay yours, and an expedition already running in the extra slot finishes and can be collected. The slot itself is simply no longer offered for the next dispatch.
Ads, and buying them off
Most of the game's ads are rewarded: you choose to start one, you are told what it grants first, and you can decline. There is one interstitial, shown after you close a Ledger and nowhere else.
Remove interstitials and The Innkeeper remove the interstitial only. Rewarded ads stay available to paying players, because a rewarded ad is a feature and not a tax. A rewarded ad only ever grants; it never takes something away. A reward that lasts a day — the extra party slot, for instance — ending is not a loss, and an expedition already in flight in that slot is never cancelled by it.
When no ad is available, the game offers the same thing for Scales instead of showing you a dead button, wherever that price exists.
What money never buys
This is the rule the design is built around, and it is written here so it can be held against us. Money buys time and identity. It never buys outcomes. There is nothing on sale, and nothing an ad grants, that raises an expedition's success rate, improves a loot roll, changes a hazard, or skips a timer that is already running. What a purchase can do is give you another party to run at the same time, another colour for your dragon, or a stock of a currency you could also have earned.
No loot boxes, no randomised purchases
Nothing sold in Dungeon Gourmand is randomised. There are no chests, no odds, no surprise contents and no mechanic where money buys a chance at something. You always know exactly what a purchase contains before you make it. Loot found on an expedition is random, as a dungeon-crawler's loot is — but that randomness is never something you can pay to roll again for money.
Refunds and withdrawal
All purchases are processed by Google Play, and refunds are handled under Google Play's refund policy. Contact us at the address below if something went wrong with a purchase and we will help where we can.
If you are a consumer in the European Union or the United Kingdom, you normally have a 14-day right to withdraw from a digital purchase. That right ends once delivery of the digital content has begun with your consent — and because Scales, slots, colours and the ad-removal entitlement are delivered to your game immediately on purchase, that is generally at once. Nothing here limits any consumer right you have that cannot be waived by agreement.
Losing your progress
Your hearth is stored on your device. If you are signed in to Google Play Games, a copy is also kept in your Google account and will come back on a reinstall or a new phone. If you are not signed in, there is no copy anywhere: uninstalling the game, clearing its data, or moving to a new device will lose your progress and any unspent Scales with it. One-time purchases and the subscription are the exception — they are tied to your Google account and can be restored. Please keep this in mind before uninstalling.
Changes to the game
We may update Dungeon Gourmand, adjust game balance, and add, change or retire content. If the game is discontinued, we will make reasonable efforts to give notice through the store listing beforehand; unspent Scales cannot be refunded or exchanged at that point, which is part of why they are described as they are above. If these terms change, the updated version will be published at this URL with a new effective date.
Liability
Dungeon Gourmand is provided as is. To the extent permitted by law, Voltix Studios is not liable for indirect or consequential loss arising from your use of the game. Nothing in these terms excludes liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, for fraud, or for anything else that cannot lawfully be excluded — including your statutory rights as a consumer.
Governing law
These terms are governed by the law of Spain. If you are a consumer, you keep the protection of the mandatory rules of the country where you live, and you may bring proceedings there.

What data the game handles, and what it does not.
La suscripción The Innkeeper
Remove interstitials y The Innkeeper eliminan únicamente el intersticial.
