Loom
Every day, one pattern.
You know all the moves. Can you find the order?
A plain woven cloth, the pattern it must become, and the four moves that get there: slide a row, swap two columns, mirror the cloth, turn it. Every move is given. What is not given is the order. Three attempts (five on Sundays), one puzzle a day, the same for everyone in the world, and a small grid of squares to share that spoils nothing.
Two to five minutes, one thumb, no words to read. Warm, quiet, and finished on the bus.
-
One cloth a day
The puzzle is a pure function of the date. Everyone weaves the same cloth, and the only way to play again is tomorrow.
-
Order, not content
Every operation is on the table from the first second. Nothing to find, nothing to guess at: only the sequence is hidden, and each weave tells you which slots were right.
-
Harder by weekday
Monday is plain. Midweek the loom says only how many slots were right, not which. Friday hides a decoy tile that belongs nowhere. Saturday has five slots. Sunday has all of it on a bigger cloth.
-
The quilt
Every day's final cloth, solved or not, is sewn into your quilt, a month at a time. Thirty days is a quilt, and it can be shared as a picture.
-
A streak that never threatens
It counts days played, not days solved. A lost day keeps it. Nothing ever tells you not to break it.
-
Nothing to buy to play
The daily cloth, the last week of the archive, a hint on every cloth, the statistics and the quilt are free. Older cloths are a month at a time, €0.99 a month, yours forever, and no advertising once you have bought one.
